22 years of Life on Mother Earth

My 22nd birthday fell on a Friday this year.  What a perfect time for my cousin Jordan to come visit!!  There is a place about 30 minutes from Marquette named the Eben Ice Caves where I planned on taking Jordan.  After a week of cloudy, overcast, cold days the Sun King decided to come out and celebrate with us, it was so beautiful and I was so lucky to have a warmer than usual, sunny birthday.  The Eben Ice Caves as you will see, are awesome Ice formations, and they aren't exactly caves but you can go behind the ice, giving it an enclosed feel.  To get to the caves you have to cross this big open field and walk through a forest.  Once you reach the caves the sight is breathtaking!  On this day, so much energy was being absorbed by the ice semi-melting and released by Jordan and I, it was so spiritual.  The caves are definitely a sight worth seeing when visiting the Yoop, and I bet they are magical during the summer.

Imagine laying in this field on a clear, starry night.  !!!!!!

And the forest will echo with laughter.  As we were walking through the forest, we stopped and listened to the trees moving  with the breeze.  It was such a magical sound and we felt so connected with the tree and wind spirits.  We were visitors of the forest lucky enough to experience their song.
I had never seen a birch tree that shed gold...

The next day, we explored the snowy, icy Dead River Falls.
