Memorial Weekend 2012 was my first weekend living in Marquette, as well as my first experience swimming in the clear, crisp water of Lady Lake Superior.

It was a perfect clear, sunny 75 degree weather day.  Perfect for a hike around  Little Presque Isle!

If you look at the rock, you will see the dark, black color which is the igneous rock basalt,  on top you see the reddish color of the Jacobsville Sandstone!
