Happy Holidays beautiful, kind human beings!! I haven't updated this blog in months because of school and work craziness, but it's finally break so here I am!! School was very challenging this semester but I learned even more about life, Mother Earth, humans, myself, love, relaxation and connecting to my inner self. There are so many lessons to be learned, experiences to be had and love to be shared, but so far this journey has been beyond amazing and I would't have it any other way.
Anyways, the pictures you see below are from August in Marquette, Michigan. They were taken on a drizzly, semi-humid, summer's day when the air smells of fresh rain with a cool breeze flowing in from Mother Superior. The clouds were blanketing the sky with the sun peeking out just a few times. My boyfriend, Zack, a few of his friends and I decided to hike to Hidden Beach, literally a hidden beach along Lake Superior. Locals and college students know of Hidden Beach, but few tourists know about it because it's not large and is difficult to lug coolers and such. However, that's what makes it an awesome spot to chill and camp.
Spending summer in Marquette was by far the best summer I've had since spending them in Canada growing up. I am so grateful for my parents and family who support me living so far away, to Mother Earth for being all that she is, every single bit of her no matter how destructive and scary she can be, to humans, who have so many faults but still continue to amaze me in the smallest of ways, and to myself, for being me and continuing to learn how to love all that i am despite my flaws. Life is precious, and I hope these pictures arise calm, loving emotions within you beating to the harmony of your soul and Earth.

After the clouds precipitated out cool water, I watched as a band of cumulus congestus clouds rolled to the North East. It was a beautiful sight for my eyes and spirit, as well as the people I was with. The color of the sky became a calm blue and a sense of tranquility and love rushed through my veins. It was a breathaking sight. |
