Taquamenon Falls

On Memorial day a couple of my friends and I decided to take a trip to Taquamenon Falls in the eastern part of the Upper Peninsula.  The were awesome!  They were flowing so majestically and fast, they are definitely a part of Earth you would want to visit and explore.  We could only stay to do the touristy stuff of taking pictures, but hopefully someday I can hike the trails and do some camping.  On the way back to Marquette, we were driving along the Seney Stretch and watched a gorgeous, sherbet colored sunset.  It was a wonderful ending to an adventure filled day.

The brownish yellow color you see in the water is Tannic Acid, which is decomposed organic matter that is leached into the water.
